Allentown, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (5-1, 4-1 PIFL) will travel to the Lion's (4-2) den in Columbus, Georgia for the second part of back to back meetings between the teams. In last week's game in the Lehigh Valley, the Steelhawks came out on top 46-43.

Lehigh Valley's offense continues to be dangerous on the ground, leading the league in rushing touchdowns with 15; individually QB Shane McSweeny leads the league in rush yards (277) and touchdowns (11). He ran for two touchdowns and 55 yards in last week's matchup versus the Lions. Brandon Renford has been leading the Hawks receivers with 41 catches for 491 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. He had five catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns last week.

Columbus has proved to have a potent offense; even with Lehigh Valley holding them to only 43 points last week, they still are the league's top scoring team with 56.8 points per game. WR Terrence Ebagua leads all receivers with 16 touchdowns, recording two touchdowns on 104 yards receiving last week. WR Jarmon Fortson was also dangerous last week, tallying 12 catches and two touchdowns on 99 yards.

The Hawks defense has been plenty dangerous though. They have scored nine defensive touchdowns on the year, and have forced 25 total turnovers (LV has an outstanding +22 turnover margin!). DBs Jesse Cooper and Joe Powell each have six interceptions (tied atop the league). The defensive front of Lehigh Valley has been a force as well; they have recorded a total of 24 sacks, led by DL Larry Ford (8).

Columbus's defense picked off the Steelhawks twice last week, the first interceptions the Hawks' threw all year; DBs Darren Daniel and Chris Pickett came up with the picks. Lehigh Valley's offensive line will need to contain DL Jerry Willis better as he got through twice to sack McSweeny last week.

With last week's game fresh in both teams minds, Lehigh Valley will be the team with the long trip in preparation for this week's contest. Once again, it will be a matchup of a powerful offense versus an explosive defense.

The Steelhawks are back on Embassy Bank field inside the PPL Center for a Sunday afternoon game, May 17th at 3:00pm to take on the Alabama Hammers. The game is presented by Embassy Bank and is will be "Salute to Heroes Night." The first 1,500 fans in the door will get a free sport bottle.
