
Rullier Agrees To Terms With The Kings

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, NHL affiliate of the Manchester Monarchs, have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defenseman Joe Rullier, Kings Senior Vice President/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not announced.
Rullier, 23, appeared in 62 regular season games with the Monarchs during the 2002-03 season, recording career highs in goals (3), assists (6), points (9) and penalty minutes (166). His 166 PIM ranked second on the squad (Kip Brennan - 195). Rullier also played in three post-season games with Manchester, registering no points and two penalty minutes.
Rullier, honored by his teammates with the Mark Bavis Unsung Hero Award on April 5, 2003, has spent three seasons in the Kings system and two seasons in Manchester. Rullier had four points (2-2=4) and 133 penalty minutes in 62 games with the Monarchs during the 2001-02 season. Originally selected by the Kings in the fifth-round (133rd overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-3, 211-pounder is a native of Montreal.
The Kings are scheduled to open their 2003-04 training camp on Thursday, September 11, at the HealthSouth Training Center in El Segundo. The first day of on-ice practice will be Friday, September 12.
Currently, the only way to secure a seat for the Monarchs 2003-04 Home Opener is to purchase a Monarchs season ticket package. The Monarchs offer full season, half season, and ten-game packages.
