December 3, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Los Angeles Aftershock News Release

Fresno, CA. The Los Angeles Stars led by Ramel Lloyd's 31 points beat the Visalia Dawgs 112-118 in ABA action on Thursday night. The Stars, coming off a disappointing 19 point loss to the Long Beach Jam, went to Visalia to get back on the right track. Stars' Head Coach Burrel Lee said, "Rock had a great night shooting 10 for 13, but our game ball tonight goes to Rudy Williams who had 13 points, 4 blocks, 4 assists and a big 24 rebounds. If Rudy rebounds like that every night, we will be tough to beat."

Stars' point guards Darwin Carter (22 pts, 6 assists, 4 steals) and A.J. Diggs (10 pts, 10 asts, 4 stls) kept the Dawgs off balance all night. The Stars were missing Cedric Ceballos who is pulling double duty as a TV commentator for the Phoenix Suns. The Stars signed and brought Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Jr in and he played great shooting 7 for 7 for 17 points in his debut.

The Visalia Dawgs were led by Mack Irvin (36 points), Shannon Swillis (24 points) and Dominic Young (18 points). The Stars move to 3-1 in the Red Division and the Dawgs to 0-5.

The Stars play the Fresno Heatwave on Sunday, Dec 5 in Fresno before returning home for their much awaited home opener and a rematch against 2-1 Long Beach and Master P.
