RubberDucks in the Goodyear Drive to the Playoffs this Week at Canal Park

(AKRON, OHIO) - The Akron RubberDucks' Drive to the Playoffs presented by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company comes down to this week's regular-season-ending homestand at Canal Park against the Somerset Patriots, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
Entering Wednesday night's action, the RubberDucks (71-43) hold the best record in the Double-A Northeast by 1.5 games over Bowie (70-45) and two games over Somerset (69-45). The top two teams (based on winning percentage, regardless of division) from the Double-A Northeast League will meet in a best-of-five series for the league championship. The RubberDucks' magic number (combination of Akron wins and losses by the third-place club needed) to clinch a playoff berth is four. One potential path to a playoff berth is two more RubberDucks victories over Somerset, which plays at Canal Park through Sunday's regular season finale:

Tickets for potential RubberDucks home Championship Series games presented by Brennan Manna Diamond would become available when the RubberDucks clinch a playoff berth. Any playoff tickets purchased for games not played (for example, "if necessary" games) can be used as a credit for tickets to any 2022 RubberDucks regular season home game.
