Yoder's First: In tonight's game, Royals' forward Ty Yoder scored his first career WHL goal. The 16-year-old was drafted by the Royals in the fifth round, 93rd overall, in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Local Talent: Tonight, Victoria native Brendan De Jong registered an assist against his hometown club. The unsigned Carolina Hurricanes' prospect grew up playing minor hockey for the Saanich Braves.

First Game: Portland's 2002 born forward Tyson Kozak played in his first career WHL game tonight. The native of Souris, MB was drafted by the Winterhawks in the sixth round, 124th overall, in the 2017 WHL Bantam Entry Draft.
