Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals announced today that two General Admission ticket programs will be implemented in 2009 - including a $1 G.A. ticket - while the team will hold the price of Field Box and Reserved seat tickets steady for the sixth consecutive season.

The Royals will implement a new program in which the first 50 kids 12-and-under at each of the team's 72 home games will receive General Admission tickets for $1.

The cost of a General Admission ticket will increase from $6 to $7 next season. However, due to fans' demand, the Royals will bring back a $1 discount on G.A. tickets for seniors 60-and-over and for kids 12-and-under (after the first 50 kids get their G.A. ticket for $1). The Royals are offering the discount after conducting a fan survey towards the end of the 2008 season, in which a number of fans made the suggestion.

The single-game rate for Field Box tickets will remain $10 and Reserved seats will hold steady at $8. The Royals will continue to offer a $1 discount on both those level of tickets for seniors and kids. Single-game tickets for the Royals 2009 season will go on sale at a later date.

Season tickets and other ticket plans are currently on sale. The Royals season and half-season tickets remain the same price for 2009: $400 for Field Box and $300 for Reserved season tickets; $225 for Field Box and $175 for Reserved half-season tickets. The Royals also offer several mini-plans starting as low as $40 per seat.

"We recognize that times are hard and these new discounts on our General Admission tickets are another indication that the entertainment value we provide on a daily basis is second-to-none in the Omaha market," said Royals General Manager Martie Cordaro. "We are also excited to be able to freeze prices on all of our 2009 ticket packages and are proud to offer a mini-plan ticket package that's as inexpensive as $40."
