Reading Royals News Release
The Reading Royals season ended this week with back-to-back one-goal losses in Trenton, New Jersey. The Royals finished the postseason just 1-4 in one-goal games. Reading fought back to tie the game on Wednesday in Trenton 2-2. David Masse registered his first goal and first point of the playoffs on the power play with about three minutes to play. The Titans would prevail almost six minutes into overtime winning 3-2 on Matt Zultek's wrap-around game winner. The Royals jumped on top of Trenton 3-1 after forty minutes of hockey. Jeff Miles (2g, 1a) and Tom Galvin accounted for the Royals markers. The Titans exploded for three goals in the final period to eliminate Reading from the playoffs. The series proved to be a measure of revenge for Trenton, who missed the postseason last year to Reading on the final day of the regular season.
