TRENTON, NJ (May 2, 2005) - The ECHL announced on Monday that Trenton Titans right wing Rick Kowalsky has been named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week for the Second Round of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The 6'1" and 195 lb Kowalsky notched goals in all four games against Reading and led all scorers in the North Division Finals with seven points (3g, 4a), as he helped the Titans advance to the conference finals for the third time in the six-year history of the organization.
After scoring a goal in a 4-2 loss at Reading in Game 1, the twelve-year pro scored the decisive goal in Trenton's 2-1 road win in Game 2. He had a goal and an assist in the Titans 3-2 overtime win in Game 3 and had three assists in Trenton's 4-3 come-from-behind victory in Game 4.
