
Rox knock off Grays, 7-2

BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox (10-9) defeated the Grays (9-10) on Tuesday night at Campanelli Stadium by a score of 7-2.
The Rox got the game's first run in the bottom of the first inning. Matt Cucurullo singled, advanced to third and scored on a wild pitch from Roberto Nieves.
The Grays came back in the top of the fourth when Francisco Lebron scored on Brad Hargraves single to tie the game, 1-1.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Rox again took advantage of a wild pitch from Nieves. This time it was Jake Daubert scoring to give the Rox a 2-1 edge.
B.J. Weed tied the game with a solo home run in the fifth inning.
The Rox took control scoring the last five runs of the game. Saul Bustos singled and scored in the sixth inning and hit his fourth home run of the year in the seventh inning.
Mike Henry (2-1) picked up the win for the Rox giving up two runs on seven hits in 7.1 innings. Nieves (0-1) received the loss for The Grays.
The Rox and Grays will meet on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the third annual School Day presented by Harbor One.
