Duluth, MN - St. Cloud (35-14) couldn't pull out Sunday's game against Duluth (27-22), losing 6-5 before returning to the Rock Pile for the longest homestand of the year.

The Rox bats had a huge second inning, scoring five runs to take the early lead over the Huskies. Ethan Mann (Dallas Baptist) hit his seventh home run of the season, a solo shot which tied him for the team lead and put the Rox' first run on the board.

Later in the inning, John Nett (St. Cloud State) drove in a run and later came around to score on a Carson Keithley (Texas State) two-RBI double. Nett went three-for-four on Sunday and with his run scored, he broke the Rox' single-season record with 59 runs this summer.

St. Cloud used the defense to hold onto the lead late in the game. The Rox worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh as Trevor Austin (Mercer) started a double play that cut down a runner at the plate to keep the Rox on top.

Then, in the eighth, Magnum Hofstetter (Hawai'i) made a diving stop and started another double play after Duluth started the inning with two runners on and nobody out.
