Brockton Rox News Release
After beating the league's best team yesterday, the Worcester Bravehearts, Brockton welcomed the Martha's Vineyard Sharks to Campanelli Stadium Sunday afternoon.
After throwing a gem in his last performance against Worcester, Eric Keating one-upped himself on Sunday. Keating made it easy for the offense as he went 7 innings without allowing a run, while striking out 6.
Brockton's offense jumped on the board early to give Keating the minimal run support he needed.
The Rox scored 4 runs in a variety of different ways through the first 4 innings. An error at third base scored Alex Perry in the 1st. Brockton tacked on 2 more in third with a double steal that scored Alex Shaver and an RBI double by Alex Perry to bring in Ishmael Edwards.
Brockton would tack on one run in both the 4th and 7th innings as the Rox prevailed 5-0.
The Rox improved to 20-23 on the year. Brockton's next game is Wednesday as welcome the Sharks (18-25) once again on Tuesday night. First pitch is at 7:05. Come see the Rox in action and enjoy $2.00 Pearl Hot Dogs!
