Brockton Rox News Release
(Brockton, Mass. - July 8, 2011) - Steady rainfall at Campanelli Stadium left the tarp on the field Friday night, postponing game three of a four game set between the Brockton Rox (19-19) and the New York Federals (8-30).
The teams will play the final two games of the series as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games on Celebrity Saturday night. Dave Henderson will be at the ballpark signing autographs and also plans to make a live visit during the game on the Rox radio broadcast, which can be found on AM 1460 WXBR and brocktonrox.com.
The first game will begin at 5:05 p.m. with the second contest set to start 20 minutes after game one concludes.
Mike Smith (3-4, 3.68) takes the mound for Brockton in game one and will be opposed by fellow righty Michael Streaman (0-2, 4.24). In game two, southpaw Dustin Birosak (3-0, 1.04) faces off against James Kukucka (2-1, 4.45).
