
Round Rock Announces Additional Promotional Events for 2022

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express announced a total of seven additional promotions that are scheduled to take place throughout the remainder of the 2022 season on Thursday morning. The updated list is highlighted by three recognitions of professional sports legends.
The newest addition to the Round Rock Express Hall of Fame, former RHP Kirk Saarloos, will be recognized on Friday, September 2. Saarloos still owns of one of the most successful individual single seasons in franchise history, having pitched to a 10-1 record with a 1.40 ERA (13 ER/83.1 IP) in 13 starts with the E-Train. He struck out 82 while walking only 21 over 13 outings. The former Major Leaguer becomes the seventh member, including the second pitcher, to be selected for the team's prestigious Hall of Fame.
Round Rock adds to its numerous giveaways this season with the annual Texas Legends Bobblehead, presented by the Sanders Family. The 2022 feature will be Austin native and Super Bowl Champion, former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. The 13-time Pro Bowl honoree attended Westlake High School, where he led the football team to a Texas High School 5A State Championship, before playing collegiately at Purdue University. A bobblehead will be given to the first 2,000 fans through the gates on Saturday, September 3.
The Express is set to host the 'Facing Nolan' Postgame Screening, presented by Intel on Saturday, May 14 following the conclusion of Round Rock's game versus the Oklahoma City Dodgers, which is slated to begin at 6:05 p.m. All fans with a ticket to the game will be able to enjoy the 105-minute documentary about the life and career of Major League Hall of Fame pitcher and Round Rock Express namesake Nolan Ryan.
Other additions to Round Rock's promotional schedule include Salute to Scrubs in partnership with St. David's on Wednesday, May 11, Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Texas Oncology on Tuesday, June 28, Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, August 18 and Education Day on Wednesday, September 28.
