Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will ring in the New Year with a series of special events as they play home games against the Chicago Steel tomorrow evening and the Green Bay Gamblers Sunday afternoon.
Tomorrow night fans can watch the on ice action between the RoughRiders and Steel beginning at 7:05 and then celebrate the New Year just a bit early by catching a fire works display outside the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena after the game.
Tomorrow evening is also a "Skate with the Players Night" as fans will have a chance to lace up their skates and join the RoughRiders on the ice after the game. Skate rental will be available.
There's more fun in store as the RoughRiders take to the ice for the first time in 2005 when they host the Gamblers Sunday afternoon at 4:05. Kids' tickets to Sunday's game cost just $5. The reduced ticket price is available to children 12-and-under for all seats. In addition, after Sunday's game, fans will again have the opportunity to hit the ice themselves and skate with the Riders.
Sunday is also a family pack day. Fans can get four green zone seats, four hot dogs, four fountain drinks and a game program all for just $44. The Family Pack is available for all of the RoughRiders' Friday and Sunday home games.
Tickets for RoughRider home games- including the contests tomorrow and Sunday- are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee.
