Roughnecks Training Camp Continues This Friday

ROUGHNECKS TRAINING CAMP CONTINUES THIS FRIDAY
For Immediate Release Thursday, Dec.17, 2009
CALGARY, AB - The Roughnecks Training Camp will continue this Friday, Dec.18th from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Calgary NE Sports Facility. The Riggers are eager to practice in preparation for Saturday night's exhibition matchup against the Edmonton Rush at Lethbridge's ENMAX Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. MST.
The Roughnecks 2009 Training Camp kicked off the first weekend in December. Training Camp this year has been split between both the Calgary NE Sports Facility (401 - 33 Street NE) and the Calgary West Soccer Centre (11014 Bearspaw Dam Road NW).
Approximately 36 players reported to training camp opening weekend, with each competing for a spot on the Roughnecks squad. Twenty-five players remain and will report to camp this Friday. Netiminder Pat Campbell and defenceman Greg Hinman have been placed on the holdout list.
All training camp sessions are free and open to the public.
The Calgary Roughnecks kick-off the 2010 season on Sunday, Jan. 10th at the Pengrowth Saddledome against the Minnesota Swarm.
