Roughnecks To Partner Up With Gridiron Heroes For Upcoming Home Game

MIDLAND, TX. : The West Texas Roughnecks will be partnering up with the spinal cord injury foundation, Gridiron Heroes, for this Saturday's (May 29) home game against the Corpus Christi Hammerheads. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a specially designed Roughnecks Beach Towel courtesy of Gridiron Heroes, First Staffing Group, Kicks 99 & The CW. Additionally, the Roughnecks will be holding a special auction during halftime of Saturday's home game to raise proceeds for Gridiron Heroes.
Gridiron-Heroes-Logo.jpgGridiron Heroes was formed in 2003 with the goal to provide immediate, as well as long term resources and support to individuals sustaining a severe spinal cord injury through activities associated with high school football. Gridiron Heroes has received national recognition in recent years including a feature on HBO's "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel", which covered the life-changing injury of Chris Canales while playing in his final high school game at San Marcos Baptist Academy and his work with the Gridiron Heroes Foundation.
