Roughnecks to Honor Former WR Clint McNutt this Saturday

MIDLAND, TX. : The West Texas Roughnecks are pleased to announce on Friday, May 13 that former Roughnecks' and Midland Lee High School wide out Clint McNutt will be inducted into the Roughnecks Wall of Fame during halftime of this Saturday's (May 14) home game versus the Allen Wranglers. McNutt becomes the second player to be inducted into the Wall of Fame following a career with the Roughnecks that spanned three seasons (2004-2006).

In his first season with the Roughnecks as part of the team's inaugural season in 2004, McNutt caught 35 passes for 426 yards and nine touchdowns. McNutt also spent time at defensive back during the 2004 season and recorded 14.0 total tackles including five pass breakups. McNutt also made an impact on special teams in 2004 by recording three kick returns for touchdowns.

McNutt was the first player to be signed to the Roughnecks prior to the start of the 2005 season and became an important part of a Roughnecks team that finished the '05 regular season undefeated. McNutt would go on to record over a combined 1,500 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns during the 2004 and 2005 seasons with the Roughnecks.

Prior to the Roughnecks, McNutt played a key role for the 1999 Midland Lee State Championship football team. He went on to play for Angelo State University after graduating from Midland Lee.
