Roughnecks to Battle Toronto

Calgary Roughnecks News Release
Calgary takes on Toronto on Saturday, February 12th, in a clash between the west and east, as both teams are standing at four wins and two losses putting them at the top of each division. This game will determine who will take the top spot in the league.
Troy Cordingley, former Roughneck's coach, will be pushing his team to the top with no remorse while the Roughneck's will be looking to prove their right to lead the NLL. This past week, many of the Roughneck players were honoured with awards and other events giving them the confidence heading into Air Canada Centre.
Andrew McBride and Scott Ranger made the list of All-Stars, while Mike Carnegie made Team Canada all of which are honoured to be representing the best of the league. As well, Curtis Dickson was awarded his first NLL award as Rookie of the Week and Month after notching his first NLL career hatrick and an assist on Friday's 15-11 victory over the Rush. He followed the exact same suit on Saturday's rematch against the Rush with a hatrick and an assist for four points, which the Roughnecks went on to win 12-11 in OT.
Roughnecks Dane Dobbie, Jeff Shattler and Curtis Dickson all received NLL Player of the Week honours after their home-and-home weekend against Edmonton on January 28th and 29th. The Roughnecks defeated the Rush both nights, giving them a 4-2 record going into February, and the Rush at 0-5.
With Scott Ranger taking the second spot in the league for goals, as well as Curtis Dickson being a top contender for rookie of the year, the Roughneck's have their team strategically built both offensively and defensively and feel confident heading into the Rock territory.
The Riggers are 7-12 in playing their country rivals based on all-time regular season play. The Riggers will have to be at the top of their game and prove their worth in the east to face the Rock in Toronto on Saturday night February 12th (5:00 p.m.). The game will be featured on TSN2 at the according times.
Next home game is March 19th against the Edmonton Rush which is commencing at 7:30 p.m at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
