West Texas Roughnecks News Release
Odessa, TX. The San Angelo Stampede came into Odessa on Saturday hoping to spoil the Roughneck's march for a perfect season, but came up short losing to Odessa 60-19.
With Jason Johnson and Joel Babb leading the air assault against the Stampede connecting on 3 out of 4 passing TD's with the forth one going to Clint McNutt, along with J.J. Barnett heading up the ground attack with 2 Rushing touchdowns, followed by McNutt and J. Johnson scoring one a piece, the Odessa Roughnecks continued to pound the life out of the Stampede.
The Roughnecks defense decided to steal the show from their counter part San Angelo by allowing them only 19 points in the first half and zero in the second, they also got in the scoring action after Jermaine Blakely picked up a blocked extra point and ran it back 40 yards for the score.
