Training camp report: day three

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, May 31, 2005 - The Alouettes continued their training camp at the Campus du Fort Saint-Jean today. Here's a look at Day 3, which was held outdoors:

No changes

There were no releases and no additions today.

Today's picks

Almondo Curry, who was practicing for the first time today, and Patrick Dorvélus each had an interception this morning.

Crutchfield extends

The Alouettes announced today the contract extension of cornerback Darrel Crutchfield, who is now signed for two years plus an option.

Annual headshots

Players were looking their best today for their annual media guide and CBC/RDS headshots. The session lasted a little over two hours and went off without a hitch.

A spy at the Alouettes' practice

Atlanta Falcons' pro personnel member Ray Farmer was in town looking at prospects at today's practice.

Bumps and bruises

Ed Philion (groin), Reggie Durden (knee), Robert Edwards (hamstring) took time off during practice today. Terry Vaughn (toe) did not take part in the second practice. According to Don Matthews, Terry Vaughn's toe is much better.

According to Coach Matthews

''Ted White is our number two quarterback. The competition at quarterback is for the number three spot.''

Schedule

The Alouettes will continue their regular schedule tomorrow. First practice will begin at 8 a.m. with players available for interviews after the last practice.
