Scotiabank Saddledome | Calgary, Alberta?

Last time out against Calgary

The last time the Black Wolves and the Roughnecks faced off was on April 8, 2018 at Mohegan Sun Arena, a 13-12 overtime victory for New England. It was the first victory for the Black Wolves against the Roughnecks since the team relocated to New England prior to the 2015 season. Callum Crawford led the Black Wolves with seven points, including five goals and two assists. His five goals was his most as a member of the Black Wolves and one shy of his career-high, also recorded against Calgary on March 3, 2017.

Roughnecks outlook

Calgary is missing their two leading scorers from last season, Curtis Dickson (47 goals, 45 assists, 92 points) and Wes Berg (37 goals, 49 assists, 86 points), both of whom are on the protected player list, but that hasn't stopped the Roughnecks from starting the season 3-1. They have five players with 10 or more points on the season, led by Rhys Duch with 10 goals and 15 assists and Dane Dobe with 11 goals and 12 assists. They are anchored in goal by Christian Del Bianco, who leads the NLL with a goals against average of 8.60 and save percentage at 81.6% while being tied for the league lead with 155 saves.

Familiar Foes

For Tyler Digby, the Roughnecks are very familiar. The 6-foot-3 forward spent the last three seasons in Calgary, seeing action in 49 games. Over that time he had 139 points with 64 goals and 75 assists. He also played in five playoff games for the Roughnecks, picking up 14 points on nine goals and five assists.
