Roughnecks FC Announce Three Local Signings

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa Roughnecks FC has signed three local players for the 2019 season, 22-year old Midfielder Colton Haskin, 25 year-old Forward Matt Rogers, and 29 year-old Forward Tyrone Blackwell.

Haskins and Rogers both played college soccer for Oral Roberts University.

"My soccer career started to take off here at Oral Roberts University," said Haskins, "There is no better place to sign my first professional contract other than the place that I have called home for the last 5 years, Tulsa"

"Being from Tulsa, I am super excited about starting my professional career with the Roughnecks," said Rogers, "I want to thank my college coaches, my friends and my family for supporting me throughout this entire process."

Blackwell previously for Bacone College and Tulsa Athletics.

"I have been in the country for 12 years and 10 of those years have been here in Oklahoma, said Blackwell, "I am excited to sign my first pro contract here in Tulsa, a city I have called home for all these years."

The Tulsa Roughnecks F.C. was reborn in 2015 when the professional soccer club began play in the United Soccer League (USL). The Roughnecks play in the USL Championship, one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world. The 2017 season marked the Roughnecks most successful campaign, as the team earned its first-ever playoff appearance.
