Roughnecks Announce Open Tryouts

ODESSA, TX. : The Odessa Roughnecks will hold an open tryout at Ratliff Stadium on Sunday, October 26th, 2008. Ratliff Stadium is located at 1860 E. Yukon Road in Odessa, Texas. Registration will begin at 4:00 pm. Each participant will be given an opportunity to display their talents in front of the Roughnecks coaching staff. Players will be tested in the 40-yd dash, 20-yd shuttle, bench press, standing broad jump, position drills, one-on-one drills, and group drills. Proper workout attire, which should include both turf shoes and cleats, is required.
This workout is free of charge to all participants. It will be the Roughnecks only cost-free tryout of the off-season. Players interested in trying out for the Odessa Roughnecks will need to pick up a registration form from the Roughnecks corporate offices located at 409 North Grant Avenue in Odessa, Texas. Players who do not live in the Odessa area can request to have a registration form mailed to them by calling the Roughnecks coaches office at 432-362-8015. All registration forms must be turned in by Friday, October 24, 2008.
All participants must be 18 years of age or older and show a valid form of identification at the tryout. For more information, please call the Roughnecks coaches office.
