Roughnecks Announce 2009 Dance Team

West Texas Roughnecks News Release
The Odessa Roughnecks announced on Monday, January 19, 2009 from Hooters in Odessa the 2009 Odessa Roughnecks Dance Team. Following auditions that took place on Saturday, December 6, 2008 and Saturday, December 13, 2008 from Shout Cheerleading, that 12 representatives were named to the â09 Dance Team including six ball girls.
The auditions consisted of 40 participants and all were judged based on several different categories including; physical appearance, ability, timing, knowledge of the routine and overall presentation. The Roughnecks organization would like to thank all the judges and fans that took the time to be a part of the audition process. Another thanks from the Roughnecks organization goes to MP Thompson who will be sponsoring the â09 Roughnecks Dance Team. A special thanks from the Odessa Roughnecks goes to Welton Blaylock of Shout Cheerleading for his role as the Roughnecks Dance Team Choreographer for another season.
This is one of the most experienced and exciting dance teams the Roughnecks have had and they look forward to supporting the Roughnecks through out the season and through out the Permian Basin. The dance team is as follows:
