RHP BUBBA DERBY PROMOTED TO TRIPLE-A COLORADO SPRINGS
Derby took a no-hitter into the 7th inning in his last Shuckers appearance BILOXI, MS - The Milwaukee Brewers announced the following roster moves prior to tonight's game against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
* RHP Bubba Derby transferred to Triple-A Colorado Springs from Biloxi Derby, 23, had gone 2-1 with a 2.68 earned run average in 16 games for the Shuckers. He made his first start of the season on Monday at Mississippi, and took a no-hitter through 6.2 innings. He was acquired from the Oakland Athletics before the 2016 season along with catcher Jacob Nottingham in exchange for outfielder Khris Davis. Derby is expected to make a start today for the SkySox during their doubleheader against the Iowa Cubs. Click HERE to see the most up-to-date Shuckers roster. The Shuckers, three games behind the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in the South Division with 9 games left in the first half, continue their series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Jorge Lopez gets the ball for Biloxi for the 6:35 p.m. start against Shrimp righty Joe Gunkel. Coverage will begin at 6:15 p.m. on the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network's flagship station WGCM 1240 AM/100.9 FM and the TuneIn Radio app.
