Odessa, Texas. Odessa Roughnecks Head Coach Chris Williams looks at training camp just days away and is making his final selection for the 40 athletes that will compete for the final slots on the Odessa Roughnecks 2005 roster. "It's a tough process, but we've been working on this since the last day of the 2004 season and put so much work into finding the absolute most talented players across the country. From the looks of it, the Roughnecks are going to be an explosive team this year and we plan on harnessing the skills of these top notch guys," said Williams.
Louis Fite, 5'9" and 180lbs, a Defensive Back from the 2004 Lubbock Lonestars named to the All-IFl 1st team as a Wide Receiver/Defensive Back. Fite played college football for A&M Kingsville.
Chris Culbert, 6' and 190lbs, also a Defensive Back from the Lonestars was second on the team with 5 interceptions, and 40 tackles. Culbert played for Albany State in College and was an All-Conference player with 12 interceptions.
