Roots Launch First-Ever Silent Auction Fundraiser

December 3, 2021 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Oakland Roots News Release

As part of our 2021 End of Year Celebrations we are delighted to announce the launch of our first-ever Silent Auction in support of the Oakland Roots Justice Fund.

Even if you can't make it to our event, the Silent Auction is your chance to get involved in the festivities and win iconic memorabilia from Bay Area sports history and Roots' historic debut season in the USL Championship like signed and game-worn jerseys, amazing experiences from Roots and our partners like COPA Soccer Training Center, Puma, Oakland Zoo, Oakland Museum of California and Ale Industries and unique, original fashion and art items that cannot be found anywhere else!

All proceeds from the Silent Auction will support the Oakland Roots Justice Fund, a charitable fund to support causes at the intersection of racial and gender justice. We created the fund because we believe that we cannot tackle injustice without addressing the intersectionality of systemic discrmination embedded in our society. Causes supported by the fund since its creation include Young Women's Freedom Center, Radical Monarchs, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, the Dr Huey P. Newton Foundation and the Common Goal Anti-Racist Project.

The Silent Auction will run until our End of Year Celebration on Friday December 10th. Don't miss out on your chance to snag iconic items and experiences in support of a great cause.
