'Rooted in Power' Jersey Available for Purchase Now

Oakland Roots SC News Release


On Saturday December 3rd, Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul unveiled the new 'Rooted in Power' jerseys in collaboration with the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, the All Power to the People Project LLC, and MEYBA. The limited edition jerseys are now available to the general public online, and at Oaklandish Downtown and Dimond retail locations.

The 'Rooted in Power' jersey is an iconic collaboration between Roots and Soul, their new sports apparel partner MEYBA, the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, and the All Power to the People Project LLC. A percentage of proceeds of all purchases of the jersey will go towards helping to support the Foundation's mission; 'to preserve the history, legacy and ideals of the Black Panther Party and its co-founder Dr. Huey P. Newton.'
