
Roosters Open Title Defense Tonight

RICHMOND, IN â The Richmond Roosters travel to Johnstown's Point Stadium to open the 2002 Frontier League season against the Johnnies tonight at 6:05 PM. RHP Rich Jelovcic will take the mound for the Roosters facing off against the Johnnies Rick Matsko. Listen to Gary Kitchel live on 930 AM, WHON for all of the action and for all 84 games throughout the season.
The Roosters return to McBride Stadium on Saturday, June 1st to open a three game series against the brand-new Washington Wild Things. The Roosters will celebrate their 2001 Frontier League Championship on Saturday and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a Championship Photo. The celebration is capped off by the seasons first Roosters Fireworks Extravaganza.
Sunday, June 2nd is Magnet Schedule Giveaway Night. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a stylish Roosters magnet schedule. It is also Family Night courtesy of the Palladium-Item. Check the Palladium-Item for coupons for 6 tickets for $6.
Baseball Bingo makes its debut at McBride Stadium on Monday, June 3rd as the Roosters wrap up their opening series. Fans will receive a Bingo card as they enter the stadium and starting in the bottom of the second, each Roosters batter will be assigned a Bingo number depending on what they do. Fans have a chance to win some great prizes in the process.
Game times for Saturday and Monday are 6:35 PM, gates open at 5:35. Sunday's game starts at 4:35 PM, gates open at 3:15 PM. Tickets are available at the ticket office at McBride Stadium, at Side 1 Music located in the Kroger Plaza or by calling (765) 935-PLAY.
