
Rookies Join Ontario Line-Up

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they have signed defenseman Eric Doyle and center Aaron Lewadniuk to standard player contracts. The 2010 - 2011 season will mark the first professional seasons for both players.
Doyle, 21, spent the first five seasons of his career with three clubs in the WHL, accumulating 177 points (37g, 140a) and 172 penalty minutes in 303 games in the league. Doyle, a Calgary, Alberta native, started in the WHL in 2005 with the Everett Silvertips, before spending four seasons with the Swift Current Broncos. The defenseman ended the 2009 - 2010 season with the Portland Winterhawks.
Lewadniuk, 20, started his hockey career with the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) in 2006, recording 87 points (43g, 44a) and 104 penalty minutes in 61 games. The center, who hails from Carman, Manitoba, also played with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) before spending the last two seasons (2008 - 2010) with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL). Lewadniuk recorded 133 points (52g, 81a) and 107 penalty minutes in 128 games with the Wheat Kings.
