Rookie Forward Ben Greiner Signed to Amateur Tryout

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Tuesday that forward Ben Greiner has been signed to an amateur tryout contract.
Greiner recently completed his NCAA career at Hobart College, where he served as the Statesmen's captain during his senior season in 2017-18. He put up six goals and 11 assists in his final collegiate season and helped his team to the NEHC tournament title. Greiner and the Statesmen fell to SUNY Geneseo in the first round of the NCAA DIII Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
The 6-1 forward began his college career at Bowling Green State University where he played two seasons before transferring to Hobart.
Roanoke returns to action on the road on Friday in Huntsville against the Havoc. Puck drop at the Von Braun Center is scheduled for 7:00 PM CDT.
