Knoxville's Eliot Grauer Named Warrior Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Eliot Grauer of the Knoxville Ice Bears is the Warrior Player of the Week for March 12-18.

Grauer scored five goals, including one game-winner, added two assists and was +4 as Knoxville won two of three games this past weekend. With the wins, the Ice Bears moved to within four points of second place in the SPHL-ˆstandings.

On Thursday, the Mukilteo, WA native opened the scoring just 1:50 into the contest and assisted on two other goals, including the overtime game-winner, as Knoxville defeated Huntsville 4-3. Grauer scored a pair of power play goals on Fri- day as the Ice Bears dropped a 6-4 decision to Fayetteville. Grauer closed out the weekend with a pair of goals, including the eventual game-winner midway through the third period, as Knoxville beat Huntsville 5-3 on Saturday.

Currently riding a four-game goal streak and five-game point streak, Grauer is second among rookies in points (37) and power play goals (seven) while ranking third with 20 goals. Before turning pro, Grauer played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In 2016, Grauer led the Pointers to the NCAA Division III Championship and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after record- ing four points, including the opening goal in the championship game.
