KLAMATH FALLS, OR - The Medford Rogues earned a wild 14-10 victory over the Klamath Falls Gems tonight as six Rogues had at least two hits. Leading the way in his Rogues debut was 3B Jerad Casper (Oregon State) with four hits including a home run and three RBI. Rogues 2B Parker Miles had three hits and four RBI in the game.

A rough beginning by both starting pitchers put Medford down 10-6 after four innings. Rogues starter Bret DeRooy was shelled for six runs (five earned) in three innings, and RHP Dillon Keene gave up four more in one inning of work. For the Gems, starter Ian Buckles gave up six runs of his own off of 12 Rogues hits through four innings.

While the Rogues pitching staff settled down, holding Klamath Falls to one hit over the last five innings, Gems pitchers were ineffective throughout the game. The final Klamath Falls pitcher, Angelo Lingos (0-1), took the loss, giving up the final four Medford runs during his two innings of work. The Rogues scored at least one run in four of the final five innings including three in the ninth to put the game away. RHP Hector Lujan (2-0) picked up the win for the Rogues and LHP Justin Jacome went the last 1 2/3 innings for his first save of the season.

The offense was relentless for both teams with a combined 31 hits including six doubles and two home runs for the Rogues. Casper and OF Matt Taylor each hit home runs for Medford. Taylor's was his second of the season. For Medford, the 2-3-4-5 spots in the lineup combined for 13 hits and 11 RBI. The 14 runs and 19 hits are Medford team records.

The Rogues play their next WCL game on June 5 as the Bend Elks visit Harry & David Field. Game time is 7:35 and the game will be followed by a fireworks show in the first of a three-game series.
