Medford Rogues News Release
KITSAP, WA - The Rogues, 0-6 on their roadtrip so far, were looking to turn that around in game one against the BlueJackets. The BlueJackets had solid relief pitching that prevented the Rogues from earning hits in the final three innings of the game
Medford bats were hot in the beginning of the game, with six hits through the first three innings. John Kinne had his second double of the night in the third inning and an RBI single by Andrew Martinez brought him home for the Rogues first run of the night, making it a 1-1 ballgame after the BlueJackets scored in the first inning off a walk.
Medford broke the tie in the fifth inning after Daniel Patzlaff reached base on a leadoff single followed by a single by Derron Davis. The Rogues were able to score one more run in the eighth inning after Jared Holley reached base after being hit by a pitch then two more Rogues batters were walked loading the bases. Davis was then walked bringing in Holley, and the Rogues then trailed by one, 6-5. The BlueJackets then made a call to the bullpen and brought in relief pitcher, Joe Galindo, who was able to get Kitsap out of the jam and pitch a hitless ninth inning as well.
