
Elks Win Series with 12-7 Victory

The Bend Elks defeated the Klamath Falls Gems 12-7 Thursday night at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls. The Elks take the series 2-1.
Elks starting pitcher Patrick McGuff took the ball to the mound and threw 6 complete innings. McGuff, now 3-0 for the season, faced 21 gems, striking out 9 and walking 1, while giving up only 1 earned run, he now has an ERA of 1.93. On the offense side, the Elks got things going in the 2nd putting the first 5 of their 12 runs on the board. The Elks scored 4 in the 4th, 2 more runs in the 5th and a single run in the 7th.
The south division leading Bend Elks continue their 6 game road trip in Corvallis Friday night for the first of a 3 game series at Goss Stadium against the Corvallis Knights. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM and can be streamed at bendelks.com.
