Rogues Sweep Gems in Final Series in Medford

MEDFORD, OR - The Rogues faced the Gems in the final home game of the 2015 season at Harry and David Field in Medford. The Rogues jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, and despite a comeback by the Gems, the Rogues were able to complete a comeback and hold on for the 9-5 win over the Gems.

The Rogues scoring started early in the first inning off a two-run home run by Nathan Etheridge. Medford extended the lead with another run in the second inning. Klamath Falls plated four runs in the fourth inning to jump ahead of the Rogues 4-3. The Rogues were able to bring in five more runs to complete the sweep and take game three, 9-5.

Nathan Etheridge was very strong at the plate tonight hitting a triple along with a two-run homerun. He went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs improving his batting average to .272. Bryce Tilton was also solid at the plate going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI improving his batting average to .214.

Cooper Webster got the nod for the Rogues. Webster went five innings giving up five hits and four runs. Aaron Schwark earned the win for Medford with his two innings of work striking out four and giving up one run on four hits. Schwark's ERA now sits at 2.00. Gabe Gentner, Dustin Hughes and Justin Mulvaney all made appearances for the Rogues.

The Rogues travel up to Corvallis to face the Knights for the final series of the 2015 season with the first game on Saturday at 6:35pm.
