Rogues Ring the Bells in Game One

MEDFORD, OR - The Rogues were back in action at Harry and David Field to face the Bellingham Bells in game one of the series. Medford spread out the scoring throughout the game and was able to keep the Bells at bay, taking game one, 11-4.

Scoring started in the first inning after Derron Davis was able to reach base on an error by the Bells, and another run crossed in the second, putting the Rouges on top after two innings, 2-0. Four more runs crossed the plate for the Rogues in the fifth, with two of them off the bat of Danny Mayer and his 2-RBI double. Five more runs crossed in the bottom of the eighth off of six hits by Medford, extending their lead to 11-4. Despite having the bases loaded in the top of the ninth, Bellingham was unable to score anymore runs and the Rogues beat out the Bells in game one, 11-4.

Brock Pradere was strong at the plate getting two singles and one double in his four plate appearances. He also brought in two runs and scored one himself and is now batting .225. Daniel Patzlaff went one-for-four, bringing in three runs and scoring two. Derron Davis had two singles in the game, scoring three runs himself, improving his batting average to .309.

Kohl Hostert got the start and the win for the Rogues. Hostert went five innings, giving up seven hits and one earned run, while striking out two and walking three. Hostert's ERA now sits at 2.96. Daniel Ferrell, Justin Mulvaney, Aaron Schwark and Gabe Gentner all made appearances on the mound for the Rogues.

The Rogues and Bells meet again tomorrow night at 6:35 at Harry and David Field for Paint the Park Pink. Along with the themed jerseys, the Rogues will have a special ticketing pricing for this special event as well. Fans will be able to purchase four bleacher tickets for $25 with the Rogues donating $5 back (regular $32). This deal is only available online and advance only, using promo code "Pink2015." Fans who are wearing pink and purchase their ticket at the box office on game day, will have $1 of their purchase donated.
