MEDFORD, OR - Plagued by woes at the plate, especially with runners in scoring position, the Medford Rogues lost 2-1 to the Bellingham Bells Friday night in 11 innings and fell to 1-2 overall in WCL play.

The Rogues took an early lead in the first inning on a Matt Page RBI single that scored Quentin Urban, who led off the game with a single and promptly stole second base. Mac Acker helped preserve the lead with a tremendous night on the mound. Acker allowed no runs or hits in his five innings of work and struck out four.

Bellingham got their first hit in the sixth on a leadoff triple by Walker Olis, who scored on a sacrifice fly. The Rogues pitching staff stymied them the next four innings though; Christian Morrison and Dillon Keane both had outstanding relief performances.

However, the Rogues let many scoring opportunities go by the wayside. They ended the evening 1-15 with runners in scoring position. After Bellingham took the lead in the 11th, the Rogues had runners on second and third with one out but a strikeout and pop out ended the game.
