
Rogues Host Christmas in July with ACCESS

Medford, OR - Santa, Buddy the Elf and a Mini Pony dressed as a reindeer will be making a special appearance when the Rogues welcome the Victoria Harbourcats to Medford, July 14. The Rogues will be hosting Christmas in July benefiting ACCESS, through fundraising and special ticketing prices. For this special event, the game time has been moved back to 7:05pm first pitch.
"'Christmas in July' comes at a time of the year when the need for food is at its highest. With kids out of school and not able to access breakfasts and lunches, parents have to find additional food resources to feed their kid. Consequently we see our greatest numbers in the summer months. Thanks to Medford Rogues many families will not go hungry," says Philip Yates, Nutrition Programs Director of ACCESS. Fans will receive $1 off the price of their ticket for each non-perishable food item they bring, applicable to all sections at Harry and David Field.
Before the game, fans can have their picture taken with the Grinch, Santa, Buddy the Elf or a real life "Reindeer" by donation to benefit ACCESS. Harry and David Field will be Christmas-fied with festive decorations, activities and theme games including a candy cane dizzy bat race, eggnog chugging contest, and even a base race against Buddy the Elf. Everyone is also encouraged to dress in their festive Christmas best to compete in the Ugly Sweater Contest! ACCESS will also be hosting a 50/50 fundraiser during the game.
ACCESS provides food, housing, warmth and other essential services to Jackson County's low income children, families, seniors and people with disabilities. ACCESS currently serves local residents through 15 programs from one-time emergencies to longer-term issues.

The Medford Rogues is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball team, in the West Coast League. The WCL is a 12-team league that includes teams from both the US and Canada, ranging from Medford, Oregon to Kelowna, British Columbia.
