
Rogues Crush Alameda, Maintain Perfect Exhibition Record

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues took advantage of their scoring opportunities against the Alameda Seals Saturday night, winning 16-3 to improve their preseason record to a perfect 3-0.
For the second night in a row, Medford jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings. Danny McNabb led off the game with a single and eventually came around to score in the first inning. Nick Hall and Spencer Smith both had RBI walks in the second inning, two of four bases on balls allowed in the inning by Alameda. Steven Kha added an RBI single.
Jake Lesser got the start on the mound for the Rogues and held Alameda scoreless through three innings before they scored three runs, two earned, in the fourth. Medford would go on to hold the Seals scoreless for the rest of the game.
The Rogues added a run in the third, two in the fifth, three in the sixth, and five in the eighth. Medford finished with 12 hits; eight of the nine starters had at least one hit and Bo Cornish, Nick Palensky, and Nick Hall each had multi-hit games. Hall led the way with four RBI.
Medford has now won each of their preseason games and will have three more before the WCL season opener on June 5.
The West Coast League is an 11-team collegiate wood-bat baseball league composed of the best college players, coaches, facilities and operators in the industry.
