
Knights Sign SS Seth Heck to 10-Day Contract

The Corvallis Knights have signed Tacoma Community College sophomore shortstop Seth Heck to a 10-day contract, general manager Bre Kerkvliet announced Monday. He will join the club for Wednesday night's West Coast League opener at Wenatchee.
Heck (5-11, 170) hit .330 (62-188) in 51 games in 2013, with a homer and 32 RBIs. He was named a NWAACC West Division all-star, a second-team NWAACC all-star, and the Gold Glover winner for shortstops. He hit .355 (59-166) in 44 games in 2012, with 22 RBIs. He was a NWAACC West Division all-star, a second-team NWAACC all-star, and the Gold Glover winner for shortstops.
A graduate of Kamiak High School in Edmonds, Wash. he was coached by Steve Markley. He was a Westco League all-star shortstop in 2010 and 2011.
