Rogues Announce Schedule

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues, in conjunction with the City of Medford, today announced the team's 2013 schedule, which includes 33 home games and 54 West Coast League contests.
The Rogues will play at least three preseason games prior to a June 5 home opener against Bellingham, the team's first official WCL game. The WCL South Division rivals Klamath Falls Gems will host the Rogues at Kiger Stadium on Friday, May 31, then both teams will travel to Harry & David Field for the second game of the set, Saturday, June 1 at 6:35 p.m. in Medford. On Tuesday, June 4, the Rogues will host the American Legion Medford Mustangs in a 6:35 p.m. contest that will help raise funds for the Mustangs program.
The team's inaugural Opening Night will see the Rogues host the Bellingham Bells at 6:35 p.m. June 5. The home season ends August 10 with a home game against the Central Oregon Bucks. Planned promotional dates include a July 3 Fireworks Spectacular, Free Kids Wednesdays presented by PremierWest Bank, Thirsty Thursdays, promotional giveaways every Saturday home game, Family Fun Sundays and many more promotions to be announced as the Rogues move closer to the 2013 season.
PremierWest Bank has partnered with the Rogues to allow all children 12 and under free admission to every Wednesday home game. Thirsty Thursdays give fans $2 specials on all beverages served at Harry & David Field. Family Fun Sundays will bring special "four-pack" ticket pricing including tickets, hot dogs and drinks. For the final home game of the regular season, Aug. 10, the first 500 fans will receive free team posters, courtesy of ESPN 580, the team's broadcast partner, with a special autograph session after the game involving all players and coaches.
More fireworks shows and giveaway nights, along with discount promotions, will be announced as they are finalized. Season tickets are on sale now by calling the Rogues at 541-973-2883. Single game tickets will go on sale on or about April 15, 2013.
The West Coast League is an 11-team collegiate wood-bat baseball league composed of the best college players, coaches, facilities and operators in the industry. Ranging from Medford, Oregon north to Kelowna, B.C., the league has operated as the WCL since 2005. In 2012, a league record 57 WCL players were selected in the Major League draft.
