JUPITER, Fla. - Roger Dean Stadium and Florida Atlantic University are excited to announce the formation of a new partnership for the 2015 season. On Friday, March 27, Roger Dean Stadium hosted FAU Day as the St. Louis Cardinals welcomed the New York Mets to The Dean for Grapefruit League action, with the first pitch thrown at 1:30 p.m. Then on Friday, April 24, the Jupiter Hammerheads will play host to the Bradenton Marauders in a Florida State League matchup at 6:35 p.m. on FAU High School Night at The Dean.

During the Spring Training contest on March 27, the game day atmosphere was infused with special FAU themes throughout the game. Prior to the game, fans were treated to a performance by the FAU Owl Dance Team. During the game there was also special promotions involving FAU, along with a special appearance by Owlsley, the FAU mascot.

For the second FAU-themed night at Roger Dean Stadium, FAU High School Night, on April 24, the night will be focused around high school students and their decision to continue their education. Roger Dean Stadium will be giving away two $1,000 scholarships to students who will be attending Florida Atlantic University. To register for the chance to win the scholarships, students should visit FAU.edu/hsnight. By registering, students will receive free entry to the game along with one other guest. Students will also receive a special $6 group rate for anyone else attending the game after their one guest.

"We're really excited to be partnering with our neighbors from FAU," General Manager of Roger Dean Stadium Mike Bauer said. "It's a great opportunity to help educate our audience on the programs and educational opportunities FAU has available."

Roger Dean Stadium is located in Jupiter's Abacoa Town Center adjacent to FAU's John D. MacArthur Campus, making this a great opportunity for both community leaders to continue to build the camaraderie inside Abacoa and beyond.

"For the past 15 years we've shared the excitement of Spring Training with our neighbors at Roger Dean Stadium," said Eliah Watlington, associate provost of FAU's northern campuses. "This will be an excellent opportunity for the South Florida community to learn more about Florida Atlantic University and for two lucky students to win scholarships to our institution."
