Akron RubberDucks News Release

The Aeros made a roster move Saturday as IF Josh Rodriguez was received from Class AAA Columbus.

Rodriguez will be returning to Akron after earning the promotion on May 18th to play with the Clippers. He was having an incredible past month offensively with Columbus, batting .320 with six home runs in his 26 games played. In fact, he was batting .413 over his past 16 contests including Friday night after appearing in 19 games with the Aeros to start the year. The 25-year-old missed the majority of last season with a right hamstring strain and was an Eastern League regular season All-Star in 2008. Cleveland originally selected the Houston native out of Rice University in the second round of the June 2006 Draft.

Rodriguez will be wearing his usual #12 while IF Cristo Arnal will move to #4.
