
Rodriguez Added to All-Star Squad

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The American Association and the Texas AirHogs are proud to announce that 1B Devon Rodriguez has been added to the South Division team for the American Association All-Star Game in St. Paul August 2nd. He will join AirHogs teammates Burt Reynolds and Brian Bistagne on the squad. A native of Newhall, California, Rodriguez has enjoyed an outstanding start to the 2016 campaign. He leads the AirHogs with 73 hits through the first team's first 59 contests. He is hitting .308 with 2 home runs, 24 RBIs, 15 doubles, and 96 total bases. He has started 46 games at 1st base and 12 as the DH.
A graduate of William Hart High, Rodriguez was a key piece of the Cal Golden Bears program from 2010-2014, capping his collegiate career by hitting .284 with a team-high 34 RBI and earning All-Pac 12 Honors during his senior campaign.
The American Association All-Star festivities will begin August 1st at CHS Field in St. Paul. The home run derby is expected to begin at 8:00 pm. A live broadcast will be available through American Association TV (www.americanassociationbaseball.tv). Burt Reynolds is expected to represent the AirHogs.
The All-Star Game will begin at 7:00 pm on August 2nd. A live broadcast will be available on Fox Sports North Plus as well as through American Association TV.
The AirHogs will return to action following the break at Sioux Falls on August 4th.
