Rocky To Compete In Mascot Games Friday

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have announced that team mascot "Rocky" will be one of several Valley sports' mascots to compete in the Mascot Games at The Shops at Norterra from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Friday as part of a grand opening weekend celebration.

"Rocky" will compete in several challenges including the Limbo, Net Catch, and a Hula Hoop contest. The top two scoring mascots will compete in a timed obstacle course that will determine the champion.

Other mascots scheduled to participate will include the "Gorilla" from the Phoenix Suns, "Scorch" from the Phoenix Mercury, and "Big Red" from the Arizona Cardinals.

The Shops at Norterra are celebrating their grand opening weekend Friday and Saturday. Visit the Shops at Norterra located at the northeast corner of I-17 and Happy Valley Road in North Phoenix.
