Casper Ghosts News Release
It didn't look good for the Casper Rockies ON Tuesday night, as Great Falls scored four runs in the second inning off of lefty Brandon Durden. But as has been the case many times this season, the pesky and aggressive Rockies roared back to upend the White Sox 8-6.
Casper's big inning came in the 6th when they tagged the Sox bullpen for six runs on four hits. Bret Berglund hit an RBI triple in the inning and catcher Steven Suarez exploded on a fastball from Boone Logan for a three-run homerun also in the 6th. The homer was Suarez's first of the season.
Rockies cleanup man, Cole Garner, continued his home run barrage with a 2nd inning solo blast, his seventh of the season. Casper's Ross Hipke pitched two stellar innings of relief for his first win and closer Andrew Johnston continued his dominance of the Pioneer League, closing his sixth game of the season, working the final inning and a third.
The Rockies will try for their fifth straight win Wednesday at Lansing Field in Casper. 7:05 is the game's first pitch.
