July 19, 2005 - Pioneer League (PL)
Casper Ghosts News Release
The Casper Rockies took out some frustration on the White Sox Monday night as they crushed the White Sox 8-1, ending a five-game losing streak in the process. The first five innings featured a great pitching duel between the Rockies Jay Metzger and the White Sox Noe Rodriguez. Metzger allowed just one hit in earning his second win of 2005. Sean Ruthven worked the game's last three innings picking up his first save.
For the Rockies offensively, Trevor Allen continued his surge at the plate, going 2-4 with three RBI's. Casper led the game 2-1 until the 8th, when they scored twice. Then in the 9th the Rockies tacked four more runs on the board for the game's final difference.
Casper the Great Falls play game two of the four-game set tonight at 7pm.
