
Casper Rockies to host tryout for parent club

Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies announced today they will be hosting a tryout for their parent club, the Colorado Rockies, at Mike Lansing Field Saturday, August 6th. The event will begin with player sign-in beginning at 9:00 am.
The Colorado Rockies are looking for players between the ages of 16-21 with previous baseball experience. Prospective players should have played competitive baseball, either high school, American Legion, or in college in the past calendar year.
Players must contact the Casper Rockies office at 330 Kati Lane or by calling (307) 232-1111 to be pre-registered prior to August 6th. There will be a maximum of 50 players invited to the tryout. There will be no fee charged to prospective players to participate in this tryout.
"We are excited to be providing this opportunity to players in this region," said Danny Tetzlaff, Casper Rockies General Manager. "The Colorado Rockies hope to find the next Jesse Brownell, the local favorite who is playing well for our club right now."
