Casper Ghosts News Release

Tuesday night the Casper Rockies and Orem Owlz finally played after Monday's storm that left Mike Lansing Field soaked. Tuesday's double-header featured two seven-inning games won by the Rockies 4-0 and 2-0.

Chaz Roe started game one going six innings and allowing just two hits while earning his first professional win. Roe struck out five during his work. Andrew Johnston worked a perfect 7th in a non-save situation. For the Rockies offensively Cole Garner was 2-3 with an RBI to lead the way.

In game two it was more of the same for the Rockies and Owlz as both teams struggled to hit the ball. Alan Johnson out-dueled Stephan Marek of Orem for the win. Johnson improved to 2-1 in 2005, working six innings and striking out five. Brett Strickland pitched the 7th for his second save of the year.

The Rockies and Owlz wrap up the series with a 7:05 start Wednesday in Casper. Brandon Durden takes the mound for Casper against Jose Arrodono of Orem.
